Friends of the Earth Postcode Gardener Discovery Report - Working with 6 local people to produce a report on the local environment, with a view to recruiting and establishing a community gardening role in the Notting Dale area.

Trellick50 (TT50) - Supporting a number of locally-led arts and culture events, including the establishing of an annual week-long community arts festival; Saatchi Gallery graffiti exhibition; Fully functioning website at www.trellicktower.com; A Trellick Substack online newsletter; TT50 Art exhibition at Morley College featuring over 30 artists; community conversation on development at Trellick

Trellick51 (TT51) - Following 2022’s first TT festival, Brownbaby were a part of the local Steering group and team that delivered the second week-long Trellick festival.

Develop Trellick - Introducing and supporting UCL and Trellick residents to plan and deliver a community co-design project

Acklam Road Mural with Golborne & Maxilla Children’s Centre - working with members of the development team and ground crew of Morgan Sindall to install a temporary hoarding artwork, produced with children from the nearby children’s centre.

Golborne & Maxilla Children’s Centre mosaic sign update - Due to the federation and resulting name change of Golborne & Maxilla, the original public mosaic signage required an update. New letters were produced again with children from the centre.

Trellick illumination for Morocco floods - Recognising the outstanding contribution of those of Moroccan heritage in our local community, an illumination of red and green was arranged for the weekend 

Underground Spaces - Brownbaby were approached by a London Underground Leadership Team staff member in June 2021 to discuss how BB could support the development of local station spaces. This has since grown into a full development project with LU, RBKC and Energy Garden, with funding from the GLA Future Neighbourhoods Fund. BB provides the community connection and steer, having formed a committed Steering Group of local people. This partnership has been working toward gaining full access for the local community to these healthy green spaces.

Kelso Cochrane Legacy - Ongoing development stages of a major public arts project to acknowledge, celebrate and develop the legacy of a key person in North Kensington and British history.

Our Library. Saved - Support for the Friends of North Kensington Library, including the successful campaign to save the library

GRENFELL TOWER FIRE
Predictably, the effects of the Grenfell Tower Fire continue to have a significant impact on the community of North Kensington and those working in and around the community. It is very much now a part of the fabric of our local communities.
The Brownbaby Chair, practitioners and volunteers continue to dedicate time and effort to the ongoing response, albeit in a scaled back manner.
Involvement in 2023 has included:
 ● Green for Grenfell Illuminations Sixth Anniversary. Illumination of Trellick Tower and other community spaces. Street illuminations and projections in west and central London
 ● Purchase of www.greenforgrenfell.com domain and development of website
